What is RotaBolt?
When a standard bolt is tightened, the tension achieved is completely unknown, RotaBolt load indicating fasteners are measuring devices and highly accurate indicators of clamping force or tension.
How does it work?
Conversion of a bolt/stud into a RotaBolt tension measuring fastener involves drilling a diameter hole along the centreline of the fastener, into which a mechanical strain gauge pin is inserted.
Why does it work?
Over 90% of all bolted joint failures can be attributed to low bolt tension on installation tightening. Achieving and maintaining the correct installed design tension will eliminate failures.
Where does it work?
RotaBolt load indicating fasteners are in use around the world to provide leak free joint integrity or assure structural stability in applications subject to vibration, pressure or thermal cycling.

RotaBolt RB1 Touch
A bolt is converted with a RotaBolt indicator and cap. As the load indicator fastener is stretched, the cap locks at the specified tension value.
